Rufus, It was an honor to meet you and to play against you in the San Antonio Mens Senior Baseball League.

My prayers and condolences to Rufus Miller´s family. We all grew up on the westside of San Antonio, and attended Greater Mt. Olive B/C under the late Rev. Dr. J.N. Byrd. Rufus´s dad, was my little league baseball coach.
His brother, Roland and I were baptized together along with my brother Ricky.
We often played together as kids. The alley between Delgado and Rivas Streets allowed us to walk to each others backyards.
May he rest in peace!
Earl J. Bullock, Jr.
