Rula Kithas Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Charles R. Step Funeral Home - Redford on Jun. 17, 2025.
In Loving Memory of Rula "Nikki" Kithas April 18, 1945 – June 9, 2025
Nikki Kithas, cherished wife, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Athens, Greece, on April 18, 1945, Nikki brought with her a vibrant spirit, strong work ethic, and deep love of family when she made her home in Livonia, Michigan.
For 32 years, Nikki worked at Farmer Jack's, where she served as a bookkeeper and manager. Her dedication and professionalism were matched only by her warmth and kindness to colleagues and customers alike. Nikki was known for her love of cooking and baking-always ready with a home-cooked meal or a tray of pastries for those she loved. Her flower garden was a reflection of her joy in nurturing life. In her younger days she had a passion for dancing. At many events she and Pete would often times be the center of attention on the dance floor. She loved to entertain, especially for her family. Summer Sundays were celebrated family dinners out on the deck in the backyard.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 42 years, Peter Kithas. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around family. She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Kevin) Jamrog and Tracy (Max) Pitlosh; and her cherished grandchildren: Nikolas and Elaina Jamrog, Madelyn and Sophia Pitlosh, Dillon, Nicole, and Mark Kennedy, and Jack and Ava Rudorf.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Westland. Viewing will begin at 12:00 PM, with the service starting at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Livonia, located on 5 Mile between Levan and Farmington Roads. A luncheon will be held immediately afterward at Senate Coney Island in Northville.
To those planning to attend, your presence is deeply appreciated, but please don't feel obligated-this will be a brief and heartfelt goodbye.
Nikki's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Rula, please visit our floral store.
