Russell J. Abdo, 81, of Duluth, died Sunday, Oct. 13th. Russ was born May 14th, 1943 in Mankato to John and Pauline Abdo. He was the 3rd son in a family of 5, the 2 girls followed him. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1961. Russ worked with his brother Dan as a longshoreman at the port of Duluth/Superior when they were booming and for the next 30 years.
Russ’s life partner Betty passed a year ago. He is survived by one brother and two sisters. He was hurt in a fall at home and put up a gallant fight for his life. Russ was a true friend and loved by family and will be missed by all.
Visitation will begin at 9am with Mass of Christian Burial at 10am Wednesday, Oct. 23rd, at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 325 E 3rd St. Duluth. Military Honors by the Duluth Honor Guard.
