Russel Hester Obituary
Russel Eugene Hester, 68, of Mobile Alabama, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children on December 31,2025. On this day, he reunited in heaven with his beloved wife of 39 years, marking their wedding anniversary together once again. Their love story continues now in heaven.
Russel was a devoted husband,loving father,PopPop and friend. He was known for his love for Jesus and his strong faith, his kind heart, strong work ethic and his dry sense of humor. He took pride in providing for his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
He is preceded by his loving wife; Starlett Faye Hester; his father, George Lafayette Hester; his mother, Jean Mary Willimott Hester; his sister, Linda Marcelle Hester Reeves;his brother, Wayne Leslie Hester ; nephew, Sean Keith Hester.
He is survived by;his sons, Christopher David Hester, and John Henry Shows; his favorite his daughter, India Philonese Alexandria Cousins; his grandchildren,Scarlet Elizabeth Olivia Tillman, Johnathan Tyler Harrison, ZaNyjah Latrice Cousins, Malaya Ann Hope Shows, John David Henry Shows, Cayson Alexander Dean Shows, Naomi Rynn Shows; and a host of family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
His love for his family was unwavering, he will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
