Fuquay Varina, NC: Mr. Russell Franklin Ammons, age 62, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC, surrounded by his loving family. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM-Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the Ammons Family Cemetery 5269 Benson-Hardee Road, Benson, NC 27504. Pastor Rudy Manriquez will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:30PM-2:45PM-Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home 301 W. Main Street, Benson, NC 27504. Due to the chance of weather please contact the funeral home at 919-894-3131 to see if the service will be held in our chapel.
Mr. Ammons was born on June 30, 1962 to the late William Franklin and Seney Eloise Parker Ammons. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Ammons. Mr. Ammons was a grading superintendent with Wynn Site Development in Garner, NC. He loved his family, friends, NASCAR, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Linda Faye Ammons; children, Tonya Mcnatt and husband, Joshua, Julie Smith and husband, John, and Russell Franklin Ammons, Jr., grandchildren, Ashley Garr, Jeremy Garr, Richard Ayscue, Jr., Anthony Graham, and Jasmine Mcbride; great-grandchildren, Diamond Garr, Kayden Garr, and Paisley Mckoy; sister, Patsy Smith; brothers, Sherwood Ammons, and Shane Ammons; several nieces and nephews.
