Russell W. Barton Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Russell W. Barton Jr., who departed this life on December 10, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on April 1, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Russell was a devoted social worker to Hamilton County, where he dedicated his life to serving others and championing the needs of the community. He was known for his unwavering independence and his steadfast commitment to doing everything for himself.

Russell was a man who cherished family more than anything else. His beloved sister, Patricia Pigg, and nephew, Mark Stacey, were central to his life, and he took immense pride in their achievements and well-being. His love and support will be profoundly missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him.

A private burial will be held at Arlington Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Old Rugged Cross.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a local charity supporting those in need, reflecting Russell's lifelong dedication to helping others.

Russell W. Barton Jr. will be remembered for his compassionate spirit, dedication to his profession, and the deep love he held for his family. May he rest in peace.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Sr. and Mildred Barton.
