Russell Lloyd Bennett

Russell Bennett, of Greenwood, Indiana, was born on September 1, 1952, and was granted his angel wings on December 19, 2025. He was born to Lloyd and Wilma (Billie) Bennett they preceded him in death along with his sister Patti Ziko.
He is survived by his daughter Sara Howard (KeAndre), son Sean Bennett (Pam), grandson Hunter Bennett, and granddaughters Lillian Bennett and Victory Lawless-Howard. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife of almost 50 years, Debra Bennett who he married October 4th, 1974.
He lived life on his own terms, never overly concerned with the opinions of others, and that independence was a defining part of who he was. Stubborn at times, he was also deeply loyal and loved with a quiet intensity that ran far deeper than he ever showed. Though he wasn't one to wear his emotions openly, his heart was immense, and those closest to him knew the depth of his care and devotion. Above all, he loved his wife, and it brings comfort to know that he is now reunited with her, once again whole.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 6pm with a visitation from 4pm until the time of service at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street, Greenwood
