Daniel Ragozzino Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory - Greenwood Chapel on Mar. 5, 2026.
Daniel Robert Ragozzino, 30, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Indianapolis on February 27, 2026. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Daniel was born on June 30, 1995, to Joseph and Linda Ragozzino.

A dedicated student and talented engineer, Daniel was a graduate of Nativity Catholic School (2009) and Roncalli High School (2013). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from IUPUI in 2018. For six years, Daniel applied his natural brilliance as a Senior Controls Engineer for Patti Engineering, where he was respected as a gifted field engineer and a relentless problem solver.

Beyond his professional success, Daniel was a builder and a tinkerer at heart. His hands were rarely still, and his mind was always seeking to understand how the world worked. This spirit of service and curiosity led him to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, an early testament to the dedication he brought to every endeavor.

Daniel was most at home in the great outdoors. His commitment to the environment was rooted in his work with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful; the trees he planted and nurtured will stand as a living legacy, providing peace and shade for generations to come. He found his truest self while immersed in nature, whether exploring the heights of Mount Hood and Granite Peak or the shores of Red Fish Lake.

Strong-willed and opinionated, Daniel was known for his quick wit, irreverent sense of humor, and a cleverness that could fill any room with laughter. He found joy in life's simple pleasures-like chicken tenders, Hot Tamales, popcorn, and Bagel Bites-and possessed a heart described as truly "lovable." To know Daniel was to experience a man of immense kindness and unwavering loyalty.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Linda and Joseph Ragozzino; his siblings, Matthew (Ashley) Ragozzino and Emily Ragozzino; his grandmother, Rosezella Dietrich; his uncle, Carl Ragozzino Jr.; and his cousins, Jennifer (Chris) O'Neal and their children Madalynn and Logan, Michael (Lindsey) Porter and their children Arlo and Archer, and Libby Schultz (Javi Fernandez); as well as an extensive extended family and beloved family dog, Lizzie.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl Ragozzino Sr., Josephine Ragozzino, and Robert Dietrich; his aunt, Beverly (Bill) Porter; his great-uncle, Salvatore Ragozzino; and his great-aunt, Dolly Klemensky.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service, 481 W. Main St., Greenwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to support their mission of building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

On behalf of Our Lady of the Greenwood Keenagers Senior group, I would like to express our deepest sympathy on the loss of Daniel. Most of us didn't know Daniel, but he seems like he was a wonderful and talented young man. Our hearts pour out to the family, including Rosezella who we know well through OLG and the Keenagers.

May he rest in peace and may God give you strength, peace, and comfort.

Linda Augenstein, Keenager
