Russell E. Seevers Sr., 80 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at Genesis Hospice on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
He was the owner and operator of Russ Wrecking & Salvage. He also sold vehicles, worked at Burnham Boiler, and his final job was at Walmart as their “facility engineer” as some called him.
Russell lived a full life. You could find him outside on the farm working side by side with his son. He enjoyed auctions, visiting with his friends, or just outside relaxing with his favorite dog.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Freda (Krouskoupf) Seevers; his first wife, Rowena (Harris) Seevers; their beloved son, Russell; as well as his three sisters, Delores, Beverly, and Rita.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and his second wife, Marsha Wagner.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Genesis Hospice by mailing a check to 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701, or the Muskingum County Animal Shelter.
In keeping with Russell’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place. He will be laid to rest beside his first wife, Rowena, and his cherished son, Russell.
