Russell Owen Kassulke
March 2, 1949 - Oct. 6, 2023
MADISON - Russell Owen Kassulke, age 74, of Madison, passed away on October 6, 2023, at home surrounded by family after a long illness.
He was born to Catherine and Bill Kassulke on March 2, 1949, and grew up in Muskego, WI, where he played on the high school basketball team and developed a love for the water and working on classic cars. Russ will be remembered for his bright blue eyes; kindness to creatures small and large; love of car racing, basketball, the ocean, coffee, and Westerns. He was gifted in telling a good very bad dad joke and pranking pesky telemarketers. Russ worked in the automotive, restaurant, and construction industries throughout his life. He was last employed by Lakeside Construction in Waterloo.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Kathleen (Kathy Walsvick); daughters: Natasha (Steve Apps), and Yvonne (Chuck Ruhland); and son, Adam Kassulke; as well as his grandchildren: Kristin, Tony, Randy, Ariel and Dakota; stepdaughter, Nicole Hyatt (and her sons: Tyler and Dominick); and two sweet pups: Nachos and Coco, who were always by his side.
He was presided in death by his first wife, Deborah (Iglinski); grandson, Buddy Ruhland; his parents; and brother, William.
The family will have a private memorial and thanks Agrace Hospice for their support, especially Melissa, Courtney and Kelsey.
