Russ was a service technician for Chrysler for almost fifty years. He enjoyed camping, listening to music, and fixing things. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren.
Russ is survived by his wife of 29 years Dawn, children April Leighty of St Petersburg, FL, Chrystal Leitheuser of Melbourne, FL, Russell Leitheuser (Tiago) of Astoria, NY, Brooke Bosch (Ryan) of Poughkeepsie, NY, Jessica Leitheuser (Corinna) of Poughkeepsie, NY, Patrick Bierwirth (Kristina) of Ballston Spa, NY and Veronica Leitheuser (Jeffrey) of Troy, NY, his grandchildren whom he loved deeply, Avery, Ashton, Evelyn, Marcel, Wren, and Layla, siblings Stephen Leitheuser (Kathryn) of Waterford, NY, Joanne Butler (Paul) of Ballston Spa, NY and Donald Leitheuser (Bonnie) of Pleasant Valley, NY, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, September 11 from 4pm to 6pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Russ may be made to the American Cancer Society.
