Russell "Rusty" Payne

Russell "Rusty" Payne, 49, of Cameron, WI unexpectedly passed away on Wed: Jan 29th, 2025 in Texas. Rusty was an unforgettable character. Once you met him you never forgot that laugh or personality. He always had a smile and was in the best mood. He was a man who had so many friends, saw so many places, and had "miles of smiles" always for everyone. He was the best Pop Pop to his Ellie girl and nobody did icky sticky like him. He loved cars, the faster and louder the better. He loved doing gun shows, riding his 4-wheeler, feeding his birds, and sitting on his front porch with a fan. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Michelle. He is a father to three children, Cassie Gill (James), Brooke Michelle Payne, and Ian Curtis Joshua Payne (Prim). He is a proud Pop Pop to Ellaree Lynn Payne. His mother, Novella Payne, his sister, Teresa Gravely, and his beloved Aunt Kathy. He loved his family first, foremost, and always as well as his extended sons (Aiden, Josh, Dale, and Tyler) and daughter (Kaylee). He is preceded in death by his father Ralph Horace Payne. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 10AM-1PM at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI with a short service to start at 1PM at Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
