Russell S. Radek
Age 76, of New Lenox, IL passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Russell was born in Chicago, IL to the late Rose Szustak (nee Ulrich) and Joseph Radek. Beloved husband of Linda Lenzi-Radek; loving father of Mark (Courtney) Radek and Lauren (Jacob) Bartlett; cherished grandfather of Cecily, Giselle, and Liesl Radek; dear brother of the late Lawrence Radek, Roselyn (John) Piekarczyk, and Bruno (late Cynthia) Szustak; dearest brother-in-law of the late Carol and Jim Vito, Sandra (Robert) Silich, and Emily (Alfred) Ceragioli; loved uncle, cousin, and friend of many. Russell retired from Quality Reducer where he was a mechanic. Russell enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed searching for and finding a good deal and was always excited to tell you about it. His favorite days were spent with his granddaughters or fishing whenever he could. Russell will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 3 pm – 8 pm. Funeral service will be Friday, May 24, 2024, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
