Russ was very service minded Volunteer who always came early to set up and stayed late to take down the activities and inspired those around him to be involved in helping serve in the various activities with him. He provided transportation for those that needed it and was always ready to help his friends & families move in town or across the country. He helped his father with his Rocketry hobby.

As a member of Open Bible Baptist Church, he did many volunteer jobs: Deacon, handyman, computer tech, choir, Children's Church, Vacation Bible School, Medical Clinic, once a month Saturday Pantry and managed a Food Pantry every Thursday evening where his purpose was providing the homeless with something for their head & for their heart (the Gospel), something for their hands (pantry foods) & something hot to eat.

Cherished for His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support, he touched the lives of all who knew him. His legacy will live on through the memories we hold and the love that continues to inspire us each day. We celebrate his life, remembering the joy, laughter, and compassion he shared with everyone around him. Russell was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus and was willing to share knowledge of Jesus and the Bible with others.

Russ graduated from Widefield High School, attended Pikes Peak Community College for first two years, transferred to UCCS and completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Colorado Technical University. He was a teacher at Goal High School helping and encouraging students to be successful, not only in studies, but also in life.
