Russell A Wall, 78 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away April 9, 2024, at Cumberland Trace rehabilitation facility. He was born November 10, 1945, to the late Jonathon and Louise Wall.
Russell married his loving wife Vickiey Fulford (Wall) on November 1, 1969 and she survives. He is also survived by his daughter Kim Grubb (Jeff Grubb) of Shelbyville Indiana and Christina Warren (Antwone Warren) of Philadelphia Mississippi. He has 6 grandchildren, Anthony Russell, Charles Russell, Angel Russell, Ariel Cottrill, Shelby Russell and Sylvia Hill. He also was blessed with 15 great grandchildren whom he loved dearly and enjoyed playing with. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnathon Wall and Louise Goodwin Wall and his brother Jerry wall and sister-in-law Jean Wall.
He was an automobile painter for 30+ years working at Jerry Alderman Ford, Fontaine Truck Equipment, and Southside Collision. His work was well known if you came across it on the roads, it was very distinctive, and he had a true talent for his craft. He also enjoyed spending time with his family whether it be just visiting or having a party for one occasion or the other, and especially loved the loud and rowdy holidays with all of the family together.
He was a kind and gentle man who never had a cross word for anyone, and he was loved by so many and there was not a person he would not talk to. He enjoyed his yard work and planting a garden, he also enjoyed putting together model cars and he loved trains, because his dad was a train conductor. He enjoyed taking car rides to unknown places to see what animals they could find and sometimes stopping for lunch or his favorite, getting ice cream.
He had an amazing sense of humor and loved to play jokes and pranks on all of us and he had the most infectious laugh and smile. He was the center of our family and he will be missed every day and remembered in everything we do from now until we see him again someday.
