Russell L. Weidemann, 81 of Green Bay, WI passed away peacefully at home on April 21st, 2025 due to a long battle with health issues.
Russ was born in Oshkosh, WI on March 23rd, 1944 to the late Richard Weidemann and Evelyn (Weidemann) Krings.
Russ had many jobs throughout his life but his real joy what being in car sales/manager until his retirement in 2011. After retirement Russ and Karen enjoyed doing Foster Care for 20yrs. Russ loved watching Nascar, golf, Packers and going to local races with Karen.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents Richard Weidemann, Evelyn (Weidemann) Krings and stepdad Leo Krings, brother Gerald Weidemann, sister Patricia (Krings) Longsine , grandson Justin Hansen and granddaughter Amber Kunstman.
Russ is survived by his brother Tom Weidemann, his significant other of 43 yrs Karen Hansen and her children David (Barb) Hansen and Tammy (David) Sjoberg. Grandchildren Nick (Lynsey) Groh, Lindsey Hansen, Brooke (Nick) Person, Mitchell Hansen, Whistler Somers, Breeze Somers, Onondaga Somers and their mother Liz Somers. Great grandchildren Joseph, Kali, Jace, Lilly, Addlynn, Elise, Finleigh, Mason, Aiyana, Isabella, Kira, Gemma, Nick Jr and Cayden. Also survived by Bonnie and Randy Theisen and their families.
Thank you to Unity Hospice and Pastor Ben Williams at Calvary Lutheran Church. Thank you to friends and family for all the prayers and cards. A special thank you to Scott and Deb for all the treats!
Per Russ’s wishes there will not be any services held in remembrance.
