Ruth A. Adams 89, of Pemberville, passed away Monday, June 3, 2025 at Otterbein Portage Care Center. She was born August 6, 1935 in Gibsonburg, the daughter of Fredrick and Gladys (Baker) Oberhaus. She was a 1954 graduate of Gibsonburg High and went on to work for Reno Linen retiring in 1998.
On June 25, 1955 she married Roy Adams, he preceded her in death May 1, 1999. A faithful member of the Church of God in Elmore, Ruth was proud of her longstanding involvement with the Women's Relief Corp, where she served for 25 years, as well as her participation in the Women's Home Mission. Known for her generous heart, Ruth took immense joy in baking and sharing treats with her neighbors, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Surviving are her children: Kevin (Cathy) Adams of Fremont, OH; Rose Marie Brock of Woodville, OH; Kim (Rick) Huff of Gibsonburg, OH; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson Ricky Huff and siblings: Ruby Samson, Twila Adams,Rena Ray Wood and Winifred Samson.
Visitation will take place from 2-6PM on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, OH. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM on Monday, June 9, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Willhardt will officate. Burial will follow at Quinshan Cemetery. Memorial Contritbuions may be made to Elmore Church of God or Ashanti Hospice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hermanfh.com
