With loving memories Ruth F. Alli, affectionately known as Corky, peacefully departed this world on July 16, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on December 3, 1928, in
Youngstown, OH, to the union of Leslie Biggs & Ruth Thomas-Biggs. Ruth, a woman of strength and grace, touched the lives of many with her kindness and contagious love for cooking and caring for others.
Ruth's work as a caterer at Hallie Stewart's Catering showcased her passion for hospitality, where she brought people together through the love and care she put into every dish she prepared. Ruth, along with her late husband, Jeremiah Alli, built a welcoming home within the community. She was the bedrock of the family, offering sage counsel and wisdom. She lived a life filled with dedication and warmth that touched the lives of all who knew her.
As a former member of the once Victory Lutheran Church, Ruth applied her heart and hands wherever they were needed. She maintained the appearance of the facilities, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible school.

She also was a cook for the Victory Lutheran HeadStart program where she served nourishing meals to countless toddlers, which among them included NBA Superstar LeBron James.
Committed to her faith, she united with the Millcreek United Methodist Church in Boardman. Her favorite gospel songs were Rev. Thomas Whitfield's classic "I Shall Wear a Crown" and Rev. Milton Bunson's timeless "I'm Available to You," which messages reflected her ultimate will to serve as God desired.
Ruth found joy in the simple things such as her love for classic soap operas, which consisted of the Young & the Restless, the Bold and the Beautiful and Guiding Light. She loved the vibrant combination of red and black color schemes, traveling and the camaraderie of family gatherings. She found solace in crossword puzzles, scripture reading, and sharing her faith with those around her.
