She has graced our lives with the light and gift of her friendliness. Now, with her heavenly father, she will bless many more. A beautiful and loving soul.

As an undergraduate student at Wheaton in the 1990’s, I had the privilege of working in a department connected to Ruth. She was a consistent friend, encouragement, and blessing. She asked insightful questions and I could tell that she deeply cared. She inspired me in many ways. I’m so grateful for her.

It was a privilege to meet and serve with Ruth on the board of JUST of DuPage, where she was active for decades. She said her father introduced her to jail ministry, having her play her violin for inmates when she was only a child. She had a big heart for the lost and needy, and was a servant to the end. May Ruth's example live on in those of us blessed to have known her.

Prayers from Tim, Mathias & Senja
So privileged to make music with Ruth at First Pres! The Spirit shined so brightly through her, and the fragrance of Christ lingers in my memories of her. Praise the Lord for her life's dedication to God! Rest for her soul and peace for her family.

I loved working with Ruth as one of her residence directors in Evans Hall-1979-1982! Ruth was a great mentor to me in the early part of my career. Last time we were together- March of 2022, we shared lively memories and had a lot of laughs! She will be thrilled to be at home with her first love Jesus! Ruth will be sooo missed!

Ruth was an amazing woman who I had the privilege of getting to know well during my time as both an RA and an ARD at Wheaton College in the late 1980’s. Her joyful outlook, love for Jesus and others, and encouraging spirit were a blessing to so many. “Well done, my good and faithful servant” is what Ruth heard upon entering glory.

As a college student at Wheaton in the early 1990s she became one of my mentors as I participated in residence life and student government. She inspired me to plan and organize our class Senior Banquet as this was one of her favorite events that had not happened in years prior. Her investment in me and is one of the reasons I have spent many years working in student development. Thank you Ruth!
