Ruth D. Berger, 91, of Fremont passed away on February 9, 2025, at ProMedica Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 19, 1933, in Luckey, Ohio to the late William F. and Mabel (Rothenbuhler) Samson.
On July 10, 1954, she married Nelson Berger Jr. in Luckey, Ohio, and together shared nearly 60 years of loving marriage before his passing in 2014.
Ruth enjoyed dancing and playing cards. She was an avid Detroit Tigers and Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and always supported the Fremont Ross Little Giants.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sharon Evans of Fremont and Joe (Julie) Berger of Fremont; as well as 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Nelson; parents, William and Mabel; sons Gerald and Kenneth Berger; a great-grandson; as well as 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Visitation for Ruth will be held on Tuesday, February 11 at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont from 4:00-8:00PM. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 12 beginning at 10:00AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Fremont, with an hour of visitation prior to services from 9:00-10:00AM. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde.
