Ruth Adelia "Rudy" (Shipman) Bower, of Webster, NY, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 28th 2025. Born on July 24, 1941 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Ruth lived a life full of love, devotion, and strength that will be remembered by all who knew her. Ruth and her husband of more than 66 years, moved to Rochester, NY in 1959. They owned Mayer's Cider Mill in Webster, NY.

She is survived by her devoted husband, David N. Bower, Sr. of Webster, NY, and her two loving sons, David N. Bower, Jr. (Marsha) of Hilton, NY, and William Bower of Webster, NY. Ruth was a proud grandmother to David III, Brittany, Emily, Courtney, Lauren, Johnathon, and Bonnie, who will forever cherish her.

Ruth was the last living member of her seven siblings, carrying with her the stories, traditions, and memories of her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation in Ruth's memory.

Ruth's family and friends will gather to celebrate her life, remembering the countless memories she created with them 4:30-7:30 PM Friday, September 5th at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home 12 South Avenue, Webster, NY. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will live on forever in the lives she touched.
