Ruth C. Bowman

Ruth C. Bowman, 78, from Marlton, New Jersey, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024 after a sudden decline in her health.
Ruth was born on December. 27, 1946 to Mary and Thomas F. Proctor. She had a happy childhood with her parents, sister, aunts, uncles, and cousins growing up in Camden, NJ. Upon graduation from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1965, Ruth attended Philadelphia College of Bible and graduated in 1971.
Ruth enjoyed working and had various jobs during her life, including an in home daycare. She cared for countless children during the week, including some of her own grandchildren. Ruth enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and sewing. Ruth also volunteered with the food bank of Fellowship Alliance Church, and worked several years for the Pennsauken school district as an educational assistant.
Ruth was a loving mother and grandmother to five children and seven grandchildren; along with thirteen foster children that joined the family for various amounts of time.
She is predeceased by her parents Mary & Thomas Proctor, sister Lois Spearman, and son Timothy.
Ruth was survived by her children: Susan Fowler (Wayne), Brian (Janet), Sharon, and David. Grandchildren: Hayden, Margaret, Brenden, Brian, II, Thomas, Elizabeth, Grayson, and one bonus grandchild, Melissa. As well as cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ruth's visitation on Thursday, May 23rd 2024,from 10:30 -11:30 am at the Fellowship Community Church, 1520 Hainesport Rd, Mt Laurel Township, NJ 08054. A funeral service will begin at 11:30, followed by a luncheon at the church. Interment will be private at the request of the family.
