Ruth Burgett Obituary
Ruth Bertie Jean Burgett, 81, of Philadelphia went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 27, 2025.
Ruth was a caregiver for nearly 40 years. She was always seeking to help anyone in need and took pride in that. Ruth also enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Vonore, TN.
Preceded in death by parents, Joe and Beulah Rose.
Survivors include her husband Larry Burgett; daughters, Hattie Gibson (Bryan) and Mary Phelps (David); son, Christopher Burgess (Danielle); step children, Mary Ann Burgett, Larry Burgett Jr, Adam Burgett, and Jody Burgett; grandchildren, Jessica Knight (Cory), Sarah Phelps, Robert Luttenberger (Renee Manning) and Rachel Gibson; two step grandchildren; great grandchildren, Lilith Hembree and Riley, Kendall Myers, and Hope Manning; sister, Helen Bryant.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Lakeside Baptist Church in Vonore, TN led by Dr. Gerald Atkins. A Visitation will be held prior from 9:00am - 11:00am.
