Ruth Ann Crawford, 88, of Kent, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 10, 2025, at KentRidge Senior Living in Kent, Ohio. She was born on July 25, 1937, in Kent, Ohio, to Joseph and Pearl Boyle and was the youngest of seven children.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Earl Taliaferro, Jack Lee Fisher, and William Harry Crawford, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her children Denise Walko (Walter), Elaine Conard (Philip), Darlene Taliaferro, and Kevin Taliaferro (Kelly); grandchildren Robert, Brianna, Seth (Destiny), Danielle, and Brandon; great-grandchildren Cayden, Noah, and Yusuf; and many extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
A dedicated member of the Kent Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Ruth Ann and her husband, William were active in their faith for many years. She also had a lifelong love of Elvis Presley and even crafted custom Elvis jumpsuits for impersonators around the world.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kent Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1625 Athena Dr., Kent, OH 44240.
Ruth Ann will be remembered for her faith, her generosity, and her creativity.
