Frances L, Jackson Obituary - October 2, 1933 - February 2, 2026
Frances Lee Jackson was born on October 2, 1933 to the late Jesse and Pearl Jackson. She was one of nine children, five who proceeded her in death.
At an early age, Frances confessed for belief in the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized at East Mount Zion Church. She remained a faithful member until her death.
After graduating from Central High School in 1951 and showing an early interest in art, Frances attended Kent State University where she received her degree in Fine Arts in 1955. While attending Kent State University, she became a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Frances' love of art was expressed as a Draft Person with the City of Cleveland. Being the independent person that she was, Frances moved to New York pursuing a career with the City of New York as a Map Draft Person and then as Eligibility Specialist with the New York Medicaid Department.
Frances was an accomplished seamstress sewing for others and tailoring suits.
At the time of her death, Frances had experienced about six years of dementia and was well cared for vy her family.
Frances departed this life on Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Broadview Multicare Memory Care Unit.
She was proceeded in her death by her parents, Jesse and Pearl Jackson, two brothers, Jesse Jr. and Kenneth Jackson and three sisters, Jean Butler, Kathryn Jackson and Shirley Coley. Frances also Frances leaves to mourn her passing, two sisters, Geraldine McSwain, Merle Jackson, and one brother, Ralph Jackson (Pam), nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
