Ruth Elaine Dann

Ruth Elaine Allen Dann, 85, of Baldwin, New York died on March 7, 2023. Ruth was born on November 22, 1937 to the late Leonard J. and Helen Allen. She grew up on the family farm in Youngstown, New York. She received a teaching degree from SUNY Brockport and a Master's Degree from Union Theological Seminary. While studying at Union, she met her husband, Matthew J. Dann and they married in 1961 and moved to Baldwin. She taught briefly at the Baldwin Public Schools and was very active in her church, First Presbyterian of Baldwin and with the Interfaith Nutritional Network (INN) of Freeport. She is survived by her beloved husband Matthew J., children Leslie, Jeffrey and Kevin (Kristen), two granddaughters Elle and Kate and many friends. A memorial service will be planned for a future date.
