Ruth was born on September 12, 1934 and passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019. Ruth was a resident of Canton, North Carolina at the time of passing. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Beulah Baptist Church. The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Locust Field Cemetery in Canton. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Dayton's memory to MANNA Food Bank,627 Swannanoa River Road, Asheville, NC 28805 Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Dayton family.

So sorry to hear about Ruth passing away. What a wonderful person who I remember from childhood as being a loving, caring neighbor who would always play with us kids in the field beside the little white house they used to live in. Canton has lost a wonderful woman but heaven has gained one. Thoughts and prayers are with the family.
