Ruth Dodds Obituary
Ruth proudly served in the Navy, where her dedication and service were honored with her name etched on the wall at Arlington. After her military service, she embarked on a significant career at Sikorsky Aircraft, contributing many years of service before retiring. A devout Catholic, Ruth attended St. Andrews Church in Bridgeport, CT for most of her life. After retirement, Ruth moved to Florida where she enjoyed many years of social activity and travel with friends who she met through the many social groups she joined.
She leaves behind a daughter, Judith Kernaghan, son-in-law Jack Kernaghan, her granddaughter Jennifer Bittar and her husband William Bittar, and her step grandson, Kris Kernaghan and his wife, Dawn Kernaghan, along with numerous cousins and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dodds.
