Ruth Ann Ennis, a beacon of intelligence and courage, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024, at the age of 84 at her home. Born on September 12, 1939, Ruth Ann was the cherished daughter of John and Ruby (Oaks) West.
Ruth Ann was a woman of remarkable intellect and analytical prowess. Alongside her beloved husband, Olin N. Ennis Sr., she co-owned and operated Ennis Manufacturing in Pine Run, Michigan. Their joint venture was more than a business; it was a testament to their partnership and shared vision. Ruth Ann's sharp mind and entrepreneurial spirit were instrumental in the company's success and longevity.
After many years of dedication to their business, Ruth Ann and Olin Sr. embraced retirement, which allowed Ruth Ann to pursue her passion for genealogy. She delved into the histories of numerous families, piecing together the past with the same meticulous attention to detail that she applied in every aspect of her life. Her contributions to genealogical records were not just a hobby but a legacy that will continue to inform and connect generations.
Ruth Ann's commitment to her community was evident through her longstanding membership in the McLaren Pulmonary Rehab. Her involvement was not only a testament to her determination to maintain her own well-being but also reflected her desire to support others in their journeys to better health.
She is survived by her loving children, Kimberly Kukla and Olin N. Ennis Jr., who will forever cherish the memory of their mother's wisdom and strength. Ruth Ann is proceeded in death by, her loving husband Olin N. Ennis Sr, her parents John & Ruby, her brothers, Donald, Bob, and Howard West, sister Marion Henry West have passed on before her, but the bond they shared remains a treasured part of her story.
Ruth Ann's life was one of purpose and impact, marked by her unwavering courage and the depth of her intellect. She approached every challenge with a steadfast heart and emerged from each with grace and resilience. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched, the business she built, and the family history she so lovingly preserved.
