Ruth Goldacker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beck-Givnish Funeral Home, Inc. on Feb. 27, 2023.
Ruth Lee Goldacker passed away on Friday, February 24th, 2023 with her family by her side after complications from rapidly declining health issues. She was 84 years old. Ruth was born October 8th, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Carl Eugene Othoson and the late Elizabeth Bond Othoson (nee -Christopher) and sister to the late Elizabeth "Betty" Spannruft.
Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Walter "Chick" Goldacker for 58 years; and the loving and devoted mother of her four children; Curt and his wife Sonia, Dr. Jill Kane and her husband Jack, Dr. Dawn Goldacker-Engler and her husband Mike. She was preceded in death by her son Christopher.
She was absolutely loved and adored by her nine grandchildren; Nikki, Christopher Jr. and his wife Ashley, Cassandra, Justin, Logan, Tessa, Jayden, Kyle and Tamara.
Ruth was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia, PA. She had been a longtime resident and original homeowner in Levittown, PA. She was a June 1957 graduate of Lincoln High School. Ruth and Walt were married on June 22nd, 1957 in Philadelphia. They raised their children in the Highland Park section of Levittown. Ruth was an avid volunteer while raising her children, as a Cub Scout Den Leader, Dance mom, Band mom, Choir mom, and many other organizations. She was a very talented, self-taught seamstress, sewing projects for many, many occasions: Halloween, school musicals, concert choir, proms, wedding gowns for her daughters along with all the bridesmaids and flower girls' dresses.
Ruth completely embraced the role of mom and grandmother for her kids and grandkids. She was completely devoted to her family.
Ruth worked in many medical positions, the majority of which as office manager and then surgery scheduler for the office of Dr Jerrold Snyder, retiring just a few short months ago. She was fondly known as the "Office Grandmom."
All who knew her, loved and cherished her warmth, her smile, and her expertise in everything.
Family and friends are invited to Ruth's Life Celebration on Monday, March 6th, 2023 from 10 am until 12 pm, followed by Memorial Service at 12 pm, at Beck Givnish Life Celebration Home, 7400 New Falls Rd., Levittown, PA 19057. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, through the funeral home website, may be made to A Woman's Place at awomansplace.org
