Ruth Elizabeth (Forbes) Grono, age 88, passed away on September 20,2020. She was born in North Easton to the late Durham Forbes and Ruth (Spooner) Forbes Shipman. Ruth was the fourth of five children. She was raised in North Easton, West Bridgewater and Stoughton. Ruth graduated from Stoughton High School with the class of 1950.
Ruth is survived by her beloved husband Thomas Grono and lived for many years in Hanover. She enjoyed traveling and camping in their RV. Ruth also enjoyed sightseeing on their motorcycle. They visited several places in the United States as well as Canada. They belonged to several clubs and made many friends along the way. She also enjoyed family gatherings, walking with friends at the Hanover Mall, playing bingo and going to activities at the Hanover and Pembroke senior centers.
Ruth is also survived by her children Suzanne Tisdale (husband Bruce) of Glendale, AZ and Benjamin Pierce (wife Deborah) of Weaver, AL, her stepchildren, Wayne Grono (wife Mary) of ME, Cheryl Ange (husband Michael) of TX and son in law James Kimball of Abington. She is also survived by granddaughter Emily Pierce of AL. Ruth was the step grandmother of Matthew Ange of TX, Sarah Schutte of TX, Kyle Coburn-Grono of ME and Lauren Coburn-Grono of ME, Brooke Mullinix of TX, and Mark Chandler of AL. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her stepdaughter Dona Kimball, brothers Ralph Forbes, John Forbes, David Forbes and sister Gertrude Schrader.

Due to Covid-19, a delayed memorial service is being held in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 3 Goddard Ave, Rockland on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM.

Memorial Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
