Ruth Eleanor (Young) Haschick, 73, a long-time resident of Westford since 1982, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Blaire House in Tewksbury, where she had been currently residing. She was the beloved wife of the late Aubrey David Haschick, with whom they had celebrated 44 years of marriage, until his passing in 2022.
She was born in Needham, Massachusetts on March 25, 1952, and was the daughter of the late Shirley Louise (Hotz) and Alfred Young, Jr. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in printmaking. After welcoming her daughter, Ruth devoted herself fully to motherhood, and to many years of lovingly caring for her husband.
Ruth is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughter, Jeanine Zarth and her husband, Peter of Michigan; her grandson, Theo; her sisters, Marcia Draper and her husband, Steve and Jan Fast and her husband, Bob; her nephews, Michael, Andrew and Samuel and their wives and children; as well as her many in-laws, extended family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Ruth’s Celebration of Life on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 1 PM at FAITH WORSHIP CENTER, 2 Lomar Park, Pepperell, MA 01463. Light fare will immediately follow at the church that all are invited to attend. Her graveside burial will take place on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 10 AM in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth’s memory to the National MS Society, PO Box #91891, Washington, D.C. 20090.
