Ruth Howard Obituary

Ruth Lucille "Lou" Howard, 98, of Westminster, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Ridge Overlook Assisted Living. Born July 9, 1927 in Reisterstown in the family home, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Rose Marjorie (Buell) Naylor. Twice married she was the wife of the late George Edward Pierce and the late David Lee Eaton. She was the mother of Jacqueline Rosenborough (Terry) and the late Linda Joyce D'Arrigo, grandmother of Sara Caroline Schueler (Ronald Jeffrey) and Anthony Duke D'Arrigo II; great-grandmother of Ava Rose Schueler. Lou was a graduate of Franklin High School. She began working after graduating for C&P Telephone as a switchboard operator. She remained a dedicated employee for almost 40 years and held various positions, retiring as a business office supervisor for Verizon. During the 80s she bought "The Judge Thomas House", a bed and breakfast that she proudly owned and operated on Willis Street. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and enjoyed participating in luncheon get togethers and volunteering for the Special Olympics. Lou was a collector of antiques, had a skillful hand at gardening, and enjoyed going out to dine. Services will be private.
