Ruth Lee Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Overton Funeral Home - Indianola on Sep. 23, 2025.
Celebration of life Services for Ruth "Lynn" Lee, 83, of Indianola, who passed away Monday, September 22, 2025 will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Overton Funeral Home.

Lynn was born in Tacoma, Washington, and throughout her life called several places home, including California, Colorado, and Kansas City, Missouri. For the past 13 years, she resided in Indianola, Iowa, where she formed cherished connections.

A devout Catholic, Lynn's faith was the foundation of her life. She was known for her warm spirit and many passions - she loved reading, golfing, shopping, and especially cooking for family and friends. Traveling brought her great joy, with Hawaii being a favorite destination.

Lynn dedicated over 30 years of her career as an administrative assistant at Dillard's, where she developed a lifelong love for shopping and was always on the hunt for the perfect bargain.

In her later years, Lynn lived at Windsor Manor, where she embraced community life with enthusiasm. She especially enjoyed bingo, live music, and participating in arts and crafts.

She will be remembered for her generous heart, spunky personality, and unwavering faith.

Lynn is survived by her daughters, Deb (Cindy) Lee-Johnson and Jennifer (Richard) Carrizzo; grandchildren, Alex (Brent) Mason, Jackson (Madi) Carrizzo, Jenna Lee-Johnson and Aiden Carrizzo; great-grandson, Michael Mason; sisters, Tanis Bruce, Jeannette Carson and Terry Gephart; and brother, Andy Rogerson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Marianne Rogerson; sisters, Sharon Dohemann and Cindy Rhoades.

Memorials in memory of Lynn may be given to Alzheimer's Association or St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
