Ruth Elaine Ludwick

Ruth Elaine Ludwick, 90, of Gorin, Missouri passed away January 28, 2025 at her home. 

She was born September 20,1934 in Memphis, MO, the daughter of Wilford Claude and Mabel Hilda Watkins Ludwick.

She worked many jobs throughout her life including factory, restaurant and insurance work, farming, horse training, and truck driving. 

Ruth was an avid equestrian who thoroughly enjoyed riding any chance she got. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with whom she passed on her love of horses and nature, and her sense of adventure. 

Ruth is survived by three children, Doug Schmeizer of Farmington, IA, Michael Shaffer of Gorin, MO, and Kay Shaffer Philips and spouse Michael Philips of Auburndale, FL, her 12 grandchildren Sabrina Schmeizer, Vanessa Schmeizer, Errick Shaffer, Niki Scull, Aaron Shaffer, Laura Shaffer, Quinton Shaffer, Elaina Stevenson, Landon Stevenson, Brianna Philips Bishop, Logan Philips, and Gavin Philips. Ruth is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, two sisters Joann Arnot and Carol Matta, and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Kenneth Ludwick and W. Gail Ludwick, and one sister, Marilyn Kay Cameron. 

At Ruth's request, a funeral service will not be held. A graveside memorial service will be held at a future date.
