Ruth Demulling passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at her home in Grasston at the age of 72. 

Ruth Ann was born July 17, 1953 Donald and Bessie (Webster) Steele in Bemidji, Minnesota.

She lived her life in the Pine City area. She worked for 3M/Imation for 30+ years as quality control. She married James Demulling in May of 2003.

Ruth was very active in all three of her kids' lives growing up. From sports to 4-H, for many years they kept her busy.

She loved camping with friends and family, going out on the lake or four wheeling for the day. She loved sitting around a fire having a few beers.

She loved the Minnesota Twins and going to games, and watching the Minnesota Vikings. She would go to the grandkids sporting events and cheer them on too.

She also loved going on road trips.

Ruth will be sadly missed by her children Tina (Tom) Eiffler of Askov, Greg Bunce of Pine City, Sunshine Mikaid of Florida; grandchildren Brittany, Gene, Jon, Sara, Dustin; great grandchildren Rhorrie, Adaline, Lainey, Hailey, Ben, Devon; siblings Donna Mellum of Isanti, Ed (Barb) Steele of Pine City, Joan (Paul) Wagner of Pine City, Gene (Bruce) Stripe-Steele of Minneapolis; sister-in-law Nancy Foster of Bemidji; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Bessie Steele; husband J.D. Demulling; brothers Jim Foster, Guy (Penny) Foster; brother-in-law Dave Mellum.

Funeral services for Ruth: 11:00 AM; Saturday (9/20) with a visitation and reviewal Friday (9/19) from 5-8 PM and also one hour prior to the service all at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City. A luncheon will follow the service at the Hinckley American Legion Post #388 in Hinckley. Ruth will be interred 1:00 PM; Tuesday (9/23), Assembly Area #2; Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. 

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Funeral and Cremation Service of Pine City ~ Swanson Chapel.
