Don Jerome Larson

Don Larson of Pine City passed away March 13, 2026, at The Estates of Rush City at the age of 71.

Don Jerome Larson was born October 11, 1954 to Jerome and Patricia (Guillemette) Larson in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.

Don was, simply put, a brilliant man. He was an engineer by trade. He could look at something and know exactly what it took to go from nothing to the finished product without using a pencil. His mind was always working and on a level that most people couldn't comprehend.

In 2015 Don began working as a Tooling Engineer for Plastech in Rush City. In 2023 he transitioned to part-time, allowing time to enjoy life outside of work.

He was a hunter and a true marksman. He didn't believe in killing for sport, but rather, was a sincere hunter.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Otterson of Pine City; son Christopher Larson (Sheila Nogle and her daughter, Violet) of Red Wing; sister Karen Larson of Montana; other relatives and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Jerome and Patricia Larson.

Fr. Thomas Galarneault will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial for Don: 11 AM; Thursday (3/26) at Immaculate Conception Church of Pine City with a time of visitation one hour prior to the Mass in the St. Anthony Commons area of the church.
