Ruth Wheeler McMillan

Mrs. Ruth Wheeler McMillan, age 92 of River Road, Westminster, South Carolina passed away Friday, June 13, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.
A daughter of the late Paul and Mary Ann Lee Wheeler, she was born November 21, 1932 in Oconee County, South Carolina, having lived most of her life in the Madison Community. She was a member of Madison Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and loved cooking for her family. She was a member of the Georgia Power Ambassadors. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Robert "Bob" McMillan, III, a granddaughter, Britton Michele Thomas and by her siblings, Elizabeth Nalley, Clyde Wheeler, James Wheeler, Ellen Stanley and Clara Montgomery.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Ronnie Davidson of Turnerville, LouEllen McMillan of Toccoa, Julia and Steve Garner of Toccoa and Jane Spence of Brunswick; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Juanita McMillan and Sam and Jody McMillan both of the Madison Community; sisters, Rachel Wheeler Lee of the Madison Community and Joan Wheeler Kearns of Midlothian, Texas; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 21, 2025, 2 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Kenneth Franklin officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Robert McMillan, Sam McMillan, Chris Davidson, Jason Carter, Jim McMillan, Bo Thomas, Ike McMillan and Carter Marsengill.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from noon until the service time. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Tugaloo Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Ruth Wheeler McMillan.
