Ruth Virginia Morgan, a cherished matriarch and vibrant soul, passed away peacefully at the age of 103 in Mountain Home, Arkansas on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Born on August 17, 1921, Ruth was a beacon of love and warmth and her remarkable journey through life is a testament to her resilience and passion for living.
Ruth was the beloved daughter of Marion and Mary (Hume) Miller and grew up surrounded by family values that she would later instill in her own children. She was a devoted mother to her son, Jesse Morgan and her daughter, Linda Malone. As a grandmother, she enveloped her family in her boundless love, which manifested through her grandsons, Robert Williford and Jesse Morgan and her granddaughters, Shirley Whittington, Mandy West and Michele Brown. Ruth's legacy lives on in her eight great grandchildren and four great- great grandchildren, who were all fortunate to bask in her nurturing presence.
A lifelong resident of joyous moments, Ruth was known for her unwavering support of the St. Louis Cardinals as their number one fan and her spirited cheer for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Ruth's love for travel allowed her to create a lifetime of memories filled with adventure and exploration. Yet, it was the simpler joys of life, spent with family and friends, that truly defined her. Her nurturing heart and optimistic outlook enriched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Ruth is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Morgan, who she missed dearly; her three siblings; her parents and beloved granddaughter, Ginger Burch. Each of these losses was felt deeply, yet Ruth's remarkable spirit carried on, illuminating the lives of those she encountered.
