Belleville, Illinois - Ruth V. Nance, nee Lauerman, 102, of Belleville, IL, born Wednesday, May 2, 1923, in Mascoutah, IL, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 at St. Paul's Home in Belleville, IL.
Ruth worked as a File Clerk for Emerson Electric. She was a member of Women's Missionary Service, and was a Red Hat Lady. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church. She and her husband were the owners of Mark and Deb Dairy Twist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin E. Nance; daughter, Carol Jean Gaa; parents, Fred and Matilda, nee Wildt, Lauerman; brothers; Walther Lauerman, and Wilford Lauerman; sisters, Lucille Stufflebeam, Dorothy Huffman, Doraine Colliflower, Erna Gravot, Mildred Phillips and Doris Tarrant.
Surviving are her daughter, Ruth Ann Dyer of Irving, TX; son-in-law, Jerry Gaa of Belleville; grandchildren, Mark J. (Sheree) Dyer of Irving, TX, Debbie (Marc) Minter of Duluth, GA, Bruce (Shay) Mason of Raleigh, NC, Benjamin Gaa of St. Louis, MO, Andrew (Melissa) Gaa of Belleville, IL; great-grandchildren, Sarah (Robert Tate) Morrison, Emily (David) Dryden, Ethan Minter, Eric Minter, Mia Gaa, Abigail (Martin) Duffy, Avery Mason, and Karsten Gaa; great-great granddaughter, Maeve Margaret Duffy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Visitation from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.
Services: Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Pastor Dave Ratliff officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
