Ruth Palmer Obituary

Ruth Ann (Conlan) Palmer, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 9, 2026. Born on June 20, 1948, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of John M. Conlan and Caroline (Gill) Conlan. Ruth Ann shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with her best friend and the love of her life, Jack Palmer. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and adventure. A nurse by profession, Ruth Ann's career reflected the caring and compassionate nature that defined her life. She lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Florida, and especially loved traveling and exploring the country with Jack in their RV. She also enjoyed painting and dancing, but above all, she cherished time spent with her family, who were the joy of her life. She was preceded in death by her younger brother, Jim Conlan, who passed away in November 2023. She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Palmer; her cousin, Charles Sherman; her daughter, Cindy Regis, and her husband, Don; their children, Jacob Regis and wife, Crista, and Jonathon Regis and wife, Christina; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Noah, Isaac, Jonah, Lakyn, Faith, and Mayah. She is also survived by her son, Shawn Palmer, and his wife, Raechel; and their children, Evelyn and Nora; and her cherished little white dog, Vader. Ruth will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Arrangements with FOUNTAIN FUNERAL HOME, Avon Park, FL.

Jim and I got to know Ruth and Jack when they were living out off Rt 308 near North Washington. Ruth and I were nurses working at VNA. We have good memories and send sympathy and prayers to Jack, Cindy & Shawn and families.
