Ruth W. Panek, 85, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Care One @ Hamilton, Hamilton Twp., NJ.

Born in Princeton, she was a former resident of Titusville, before moving to Lawrenceville in 1986. Ruth is a retiree of Princeton Gamma Tech, where she was an administrative assistant for many years. Some of her hobbies included crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed knitting hats for newborn babies in local area hospitals. Ruth was a long-time volunteer in the gift shop at Morris Hall.

Daughter of the late Thomas G. and Hazel K. Watlington, sister of the late Juanita McLaughlin, wife of the late James A. Panek; she is survived by her two sons James Panek and his wife Denise, and Brian Panek; her grandchildren Jason, Samantha, Cody, Brianna and Emmet; her great-granddaughter Lea; her siblings Almeyda Prickett, Thomas Watlington and his wife Jean, and Richard Watlington.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 1:00PM at Dutch Neck Cemetery, 154 South Mill Road, Princeton Junction, NJ 08550. Attendees are asked to arrive to the cemetery no later than 12:45PM.

To my beautiful little Aunt Ruth, so far in miles, but so close in heart. I will miss your laugh, smile and our honest heartfelt talks. I am one lucky niece to have been blessed with the best Aunts! My heart goes out to Jimmy, Denise and family, Brian and family, my sweet Aunt Meem, Uncle Tom, Jean, Rick and oodles of cousins. Sending much love and hugs to all.
