Ruth Ann Pasley, 82, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025.

Born October 10, 1942, in Orange, New Jersey, Ruth was the fifth of ten children. After losing her mother at an early age, she graduated eighth grade from Our Lady of the Valley School and began working shortly thereafter. She later moved in with her best friend’s family to help ease the crowded conditions at home.

While visiting her younger sister in Connecticut, Ruth met Bob Pasley on March 17, 1962. They married that July and moved to Grandview, where they built a life together and raised three children.

Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and “Gigi” (great-grandmother) who poured herself into caring for her family. She stayed home during her children’s early years before working at North American Savings Bank until her retirement.

Smart, gracious, and kind, yet feisty and full of surprises, Ruth was quick with a comeback or a piece of hard candy from her purse.

She showed up—no matter the hour—with love and support. She enjoyed shopping, reading, dancing, and decorating her home for the holidays. An avid bowler, proud German Shepherd lover and gifted dog trainer, she was also known for making the world’s best spaghetti sauce.

Ruth is survived by her children Anita (Scott) Wiechmann, John Pasley and Angela (Andrew) Faron; grandchildren Melissa Pasley, Nate (Melissa) Wiechmann, Sadie (Davis) Morgan, Rebecca Pasley (Matt Jerram) and Jordan Wiechmann; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings William “Junior” Harrington, Richard “Dicky” Harrington, Doris (Harrington) DeCosta, Paul (Jean) Harrington and Tom Harrington, along with many nieces and nephews.

Ruth will be remembered for her joyful spirit, quick wit, and unconditional love. She passed away just one month after her beloved husband Bob—a quiet and beautiful testament to the lifelong love they shared.
