Ruth Porter Obituary
battle with heart and kidney disease. Ruth was born and raised in Germany by her Mother and
Grandparents. She went on to meet the love of her life while he was stationed in Germany in
the US Army. They were married and Ruth traveled to Barker, NY where they built their lifelong
home and raised their daughter Judy. Ruth retired from Tops markets and in retirement they
became snowbirds in Florida for many years. They enjoyed collecting and dealing in antiques
but most of the time you could find her at her happy place, shell hunting on the beach.
Ruth was predeceased for 5 long years by her husband Robert L. Porter. They may now rejoice
together eternally.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Judy (Rick) Penkalski of Tarpon Springs, FL, her granddaughter
Jamie (Matthew Scott) Porter of Barker, NY, her grandson Ricky Penkalski of Lockport, NY, her
great grandchildren Jenady Penkalski, Madelyn Penkalski and Clayton Cleveley Scott, her
brother in law Larry Porter of Fl and her sister in law Lana Porter of WI.
At the request of the family, all arrangements handled by Rutland-Corbin Funeral Home, inc will
be kept private. In lieu of flowers, donations greatly appreciated to Niagara Hospice for the care
they provided in Ruth's final days.
