Ruth Reed Obituary
Ruth was born on January 7, 1936, to parents Ben and Connie Sertian.
Ruth graduated from Mt. Zion High School and married James P. Reid shortly thereafter. She spent many years traveling to various military locations, including Holland, as a proud military wife and mother. Ruth was a gifted crafter, and her favorite craft was making Barbie clothes and especially crocheting beautiful ornaments and tablecloths. Ruth also participated in EOD at Eglin Air Force Base and taught Sunday School at Rosemont Baptist Church.
Ruth is predeceased by her husband, James P. Reid; daughter, Joyce Anita Luken; father, Ben Sertian; mother, Connice Sertian; and sisters, Julia Eidson, Edna Benton, Inez Lee, Hattie Dukes, and Arlean Paradise.
She is survived by her many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted on the first weekend in June at a time to be announced, at Holly Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Inurnment will follow at Holly Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rosemont Baptist Church, Niceville, FL.
