Ruth Marie Brungardt, of
El Dorado, Kansas, passed away on June 29th, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family in her home that she and Richard built in 1967.
Ruth was born on September 6th, 1931, to Herman Carl Nestler and Bessie Mae Goulding, in Butler, Oklahoma. She graduated from Russell High School with the class of 1949. She went on to work at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital for 20 years in their Central Supply Unit. Ruth married the love of her life, Richard B. Brungardt, on August 18th, 1951, in Gorham, Kansas.
Ruth enjoyed gardening and exchanging flower bulbs with her little brother, Eddie, and other friends and family. She was very active in her church, Senior Center, and was a member of the unofficial McDonald's coffee club. Ruth and Richard enjoyed many years traveling the United States, driving through and across many states in their travels visiting family, friends, National Parks, and Disney Land in California. After the passing of Richard, Ruth enjoyed many trips flying to visit family, and spent a great deal of time babysitting her great-grandchildren. Ruth was a true Matriarch of the family, that lead and blessed her family with her love of Jesus Christ, and was a constant source of unconditional love and support. Her unwaivering faith blessed all those around her.
Ruth will be missed by all who were blessed to know her. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Dennis) Fritz, Roxann (Lawrence) Norrick and Tammy (Barry) Mosley, Grandchildren Kelly (Amiee) Fritz, Jennifer (Richard) Berardinelli, Nathan (Heather) Fritz, Joey (Ronda Dupain) Fritz, Brenda (Gary) Leonard, Thomas (Becki) Green, Nicholas (Monica) Green, Tracey (Jeremy) Horn, Kenneth (Molly) Martin, and Daniel Martin. Great-Grandchildren Alex, Kelsey (Josh), Neva, Mason, Levi, Wren, Hailee, Wells, Ada, Sadie, Brynna Ray, Forrest, Mielee, Milo, Max, Blake, Madison, Brenden, Tyler, Brilynn, Alexa, Malaya and Ethan, and one Great-Great Granddaughter to-be arriving December 2025. Ruth is also survived by her brother, Eddie Nestler, and a host of nephews, neices, and friends.
Ruth was preceded in passing by her parents, her husband, Richard Brungardt, brothers Herman "Bud," Lawrence, and sister Betty.
Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Interim HealthCare and Hospice of El Dorado, for the loving care and assistance they provided for our family in our time of need, the
Alzheimer's Association in honor of our sister, Kathleen, or the pet rescue of your choice. Ruth was never without a beloved, furry, four-legged family dog.

Vigil services will take place at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 am Monday, July 7th. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am. Ruth will be laid to rest at Sunset Lawns Cemetery immediately following.
