From Ruth,
I, Ruth Melany Saravia Perez Gomez. Affectionately known as “Mama Lufe” by beloved family, was born August 3rd 1953 in Chalatelango San Salvador.
I moved here to the United States when I was 25 and brought along my family to become a matriarch for my former children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews.
I enjoyed my family functions such as the holidays, dressing up and always having a new outfit and jewelry. I loved going to the casino and play the slots machines I could sit there for hours with my sister. I enjoyed watching telenovelas and scary movies with my family.
The best part of my journey was entering motherhood to my two children whom I hold dear to my heart.
My journey ended on October 4th 2023, I accepted my wings knowing my family will be alright. Entering the stairway to meet my Mother, Father and of course my best friend Sparkles. To my family, my laughter and jokes will forever live on with each and every one of you. You will see me through roses, butterflies and the brightest star in the sky.
I live on through my children Margarita Casillas, Rafael Saravia, my grandchildren Melanie Casillas, Leilani Saravia, Arianna Saravia and Rafael Alcides Saravia Junior. Siblings Nori Casillas, Pima Perez, Osmaro Perez, Meme Perez, Plino Perez and Amilcar Perez.
Memory service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 2:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
