The beaches of New Hampshire and Massachusetts beckoned, and she took advantage of an offer from Exeter Hospital in Exeter, New Hampshire. She worked there until her marriage. After marrying Bill, they moved to Lake Road in Highland, IL and Ruth started working at St. Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL. While working at the hospital.
