Ruth Elizabeth Mowery Sheers departed from us on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 to return Home as she would've said.

Born on February, 14, 1935, the fifth of twelve children born to John Doc Mowery and Minnie Belle Mowery (nee Boggs) in New Boston, Ohio; Ruth grew up in Portsmouth, Ohio. In 1956 she met and married William Henry Sheers (deceased).

Ruth was a very Loving Mother to Barbara Sheers, Debra Sheers, Lisa Sheers (deceased), Pamela Ferrell (Greg), Rita Clark (Phil) and a very Loving Grandmother, to David Ferrell, Elizabeth Clark and Rachel Clark. To William C. Sheers (Dee), her stepson, she loved him and his children and grandchildren as her own.

Surviving Ruth are her Sisters, Sue Morris and Kay Horsley, and numerous Nieces and Nephews, from her brothers and sisters that she was always eager to hear about. I think they would be surprised to know the level of knowledge and interest she had for them.

Preceding in death were the following siblings who were much loved and she made specific remembrance on their birthdays. Lorene Ward, Hobart Mowery, Mary Snyder, Helen Hilton, Juanita Smith, Flora Cooley, Herbert Mowery, John Mowery and James Mowery.

Ruth loved Gardening, Flowers, Trees, and plants thrived under her care. Chicago Cubs Baseball, Ohio State Football, Murder mysteries, crime dramas and Court TV were favorite TV viewing and daily reading of the Plain Dealer counted among her favorite pastimes.

We will miss her greatly but know, due to her faith and care, that we will be together again. Private family services.

We Love you Mom.
