Ruth H. Smith, 89, longtime resident of Wilton, NH, died on November 18, 2025, at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH, after a period of declining health.
She was born on February 24, 1936, in Fitchburg, MA, a daughter of the late Richard and Lila (Farrell) Gage.
Ruth was raised and educated in Wilton and graduated from High Mowing School. She worked for many years in HR at Hitchiners here in Milford.
She married Kenneth Smith and together had made their home in Wilton since the mid 1960’s. In retirement they enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, playing cards and being with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two stepchildren, Randy and Ricky Smith and her husband, Kenneth Smith.
Survivors include her son, Kevin Smith of Milford, NH, daughter, Linda Hogan of MA, stepdaughter, Tammy Earthly of TX and her grandchildren.
SERVICES: In accordance with her wish’s services are private. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Wilton, NH.
